DOST-NCR Engages Stakeholders on Scenario Building for SETUP Roadmaps
The Department of Science and Technology – National Capital Region conducted a 2-day virtual “SETUP 2.0 Project 1 Stakeholders’ Consultation” on June 24 and July 1, 2022.
The consultation is aimed at identifying focal issues and scenarios of the eight (8) priority industry sectors that were identified under the SETUP 2.0 Project 1 which include Food Processing, Agriculture/Forestry/Livestock, Marine and Aquaculture (Seaweeds), Agrimachinery, Farm Implements, Food Processing Equipment, Tool and Die, Manufacture of Furniture, Jewelry, GHD and Creatives, Electronics, ICT and ICT Services, and Health and Wellness.
Consultants from the WQA Phils. Inc. served as resource speakers and facilitated the gathering of important focal issues to build scenarios, and use these for environmental scanning. Moreover, the six (6) conditions of foresight namely Communication, Concentration, Coordination, Consensus, Implementation, and Change at Global Level were also highlighted.
The event served as initial steps towards the creation of the 10-year roadmaps for the implementation of the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP).
