DOST-NCR Bags Multiple Awards in Culture and Arts Tilt

Homegrown artists of the DOST-National Capital Region clinched various awards in the DOST 64th Anniversary’s “KontemporANYO: Cultural Presentation and Science Art Contest” which concluded on 09 June 2022 at the Philippine Science High School-Main Campus in Quezon City.

The awards received were: 1st Place, Weave Got Styled (Male and Female Category) represented by Mr. Rodolfo Geronimo Jr and Ms. Raniza Camid; 2nd Place, Digital Art (Abstract Illustration) by Ms. Ma. Christine Joyce Larga; 2nd Place, Science Art Painting (Coffee Painting Category) by Mr. Jayson Umali; 3rd Place, Choral Competition – Luzon Cluster with representatives Ms. Monique Arcinue and Mr. Ernan Andaya; 4th Place, Science Art Painting (Watercolor Painting Category) by Mr. Jayson Umali; and 4th Place, Science Art Painting (Coffee Painting Category) by Ms. Ma. Christine Joyce Larga.

The Science Art Contest showcased the creativity of DOST personnel expressed through artworks under categories of oil/acrylic painting, coffee painting, digital art, photography, and watercolor painting.

Meanwhile, the cultural presentations which included Weave Got Styled, Grand Parade, Tiktok, and Choral/Band Competition were also participated in by the DOST Regional Offices, Institutions, and Advisory Bodies.

Cash prizes were given to the winners.
