RTU Faculty, Researchers Complete DOST’s 3D Printing Training Program

06 March 2023 – Faculty and researchers of Rizal Technological University completed the 2-week Capability Building for 3D Printing Technology Training for Education held at Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMCen), provided by DOST-Metals Industry Research for Development Center (MIRDC), in partnership with DOST-NCR PAMAMARISAN Clustered Area Science and Technology Office (CASTO).
The training equipped the faculty and researchers of RTU with advanced skills that will help them become future-ready in the field of additive manufacturing or 3D printing.
Potential outcomes of this one-year project include the establishment of a technological hub for 3D printing advanced materials/manufacturing center in Pasig, Mandaluyong, Marikina and San Juan, provision of 3D printing services for industry players and higher education institutions (HEIs) offering science, technology, engineering and mathematics courses, and achievement of global competitiveness in education and industry.
Engr. Romelen T. Tresvalles, Chief Science Research Specialist and Officer-in-Charge, Office of the Regional Director committed that DOST-NCR will continuously persevere in pushing collaborative projects with the academe, HEIs and Research Development Institutes (RDIs) to address the needs of various communities and industries through emerging innovations such as 3D printing.
