DOST-NCR Collaborates with Japanese Orgs for MSME Capacity Building Activities
July 8, 2022, Makati – DOST-NCR Regional Director Jose B. Patalinjug III met with Mr. Tetsuji Kawakmi, Managing Director of Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS), and Mr. Ernesto Abrenica, Director of Philippine-Japan Training Institute of Culture and Technology (PJTICT) to discuss capacity building activities lined up for the DOST Regional Offices and its assisted micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
DOST-NCR RD Patalinjug expressed his commitment to conduct the Program on Environmental Management this year; said Program was supposedly scheduled in March 2020, but did not push through due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
RD Patalinjug also raised other proposed topics for capacity building including disaster risk reduction, management and recovery, science and technology transfer policies, and water-related technologies for conservation.
The DOST-NCR, AOTS and PJTICT conducted the Executive Leadership Program held in Osaka, Japan in 2018 which was attended by 20 delegates from the DOST Regional Offices in North and Central Luzon, and their respective MSMEs.
