STI Fever Takes Over the Metro at October Science Fest

It will be a three-day celebration of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) when the Department of Science and Technology- National Capital Region (DOST-NCR) brings its 2024 Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW) celebration to Quezon City from 29-31 October 2024.
Anchored on the theme of “Siyensya, Teknolohiya, at Inobasyon: Kabalikat sa Matatag, Maginhawa, at Panatag na Kinabukasan,” DOST-NCR will be partnering with the Quezon City Local Government and the DOST-Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI) to bring this year’s Science Fest to the PAMAMAZON (Pasay, Makati, Manila, Quezon City) Cluster, with focus on “Bridging Science, Technology, and Green Economy Solutions in the Metro.”
Like in previous stagings, the RSTW-NCR will put the spotlight on the significant contributions of STI to Metro Manila’s development, especially in the pursuit to transition NCR’s 16 cities and one municipality into Smart Cities. The three-day fair will also open up ample opportunities for industry stakeholders, scientists, researchers, and policymakers to share ideas and collaborate on strategies towards inclusive growth.
Aside from showcasing DOST NCR’s initiatives, projects, and accomplishments, the 2024 RSTW-NCR will feature interactive technology exhibits, project launches, quiz contest, forums, TechnoBazaars, and educational tours to promote STI to various partners, stakeholders, communities, and the public. In keeping with the theme, there will also be interactive sessions on sustainability aimed at the socio-economic development of cities, communities, business start-ups, and enterprises.
Let’s make it a date! Come and join us as we celebrate the progress and accomplishments of science, technology and innovation in our society!
