Cover It Right: DOST-NCR Staff Hone Their S&T Promotion Skills
understanding of the concepts of news and feature writing, as well as photography and captioning, to further strengthen the agency’s efforts in bringing science closer to the people.
During the workshop, participants did actual writing sessions, photography, and captioning, after which they submitted and presented their final outputs for critiquing.
Resource persons during the workshop were Ms. Framelia V. Anonas, head of the Nuclear Information and Documentation Section of the DOST-PNRI (news and feature writing), DOST-NCR SCCU’s Ms. Ma. Christine Joyce DJ. Larga and Mr. Allan E. Palaganas (mobile photography), and Ms. Shaira P. Rapisora (social media captioning).
To close the workshop, DOST-NCR Officer-in-Charge Engr. Romelen T. Tresvalles expressed her commendations to the organizing unit and to the representatives from the agency’s various units and offices for completing the tasks. She also expressed her hope that through this training workshop, DOST-NCR will be continuously sharing science and technology-based information to the public more effectively and efficiently.
