MPC-ReSOLES TBI Undergoes Design-Thinking Workshop with SCALE-NCR
The Marikina Polytechnic College-Reinnovate Shoes and other Leathercrafts for Entrepreneurship Start-ups (ReSOLES) Technology Business Incubator (TBI) underwent a Design-Thinking Workshop on September 23, 2024, at the Marikina Polytechnic College, under the mentorship of Mr. Resty Collado of the Miriam College and Strategic and Collaborative Alliance for Leveraging Ecosystem of Startups National Capital Region (SCALE-NCR).
ReSOLES is one of the startups under the DOST-PCIEERD’s “Higher Education Institution Readiness for Innovation and Technopreneurship” Program.
The design-thinking workshop aims to guide the TBI in strategically planning and designing the details of its incubation program. This includes identifying existing support structures, generating pipeline programs, securing internal and external support, and identifying the criteria for the incubatees. After the workshop, the ReSOLES TBI Team began drafting their TBI program in line with the information discussed in the workshop proper.
The ReSOLES TBI Team at the workshop was headed by its Project Lead, Dr. Dionell Chris Batoon, and TBI Manager, Mr. Jezreel Llanera. Other TBI members from MPC who were present were the Internal Affairs Coordinator, Mr. Arnold Johnsen Acedera, Head of Innovation and Technical Support, Ms. Anna Khristina Buday, External Affairs Coordinator, Ms. Mary Grace Goño, Marketing Specialist, Mr. Jerry Napay Jr., Project Technical Assistant for Information Technology, Ms. Danielle Jan San Luis, and Project Technical Assistant for Marketing, Ms. Josabet Quitain.
Based on the outputs which were later discussed, the ReSOLES TBI Team is committed to streamlining their programs, projects, and activities for their TBI program. In addition, the team also plans to strengthen and formalize existing linkages that may help them during its implementation. The ReSOLES TBI Team will further conduct coordination and consultative meetings with members of SCALE-NCR to finalize the details of their proposed TBI program for shoes and other leathercrafts.
