HRDP Scholars from DOST-NCR Earn Master's Degree in Public Management from ADMU
Upholding its vision to foster a culture of science, technology and innovation, the Department of Science and Technology continues to create learning and growth opportunities for its employees.
DOST has established its Human Resource Development Program (HRDP)
which features seven (7) Degree components namely: Local Graduate Degree Scholarship, Foreign Graduate Degree Scholarship, Incentive for Self-Financed Graduates, Thesis/Dissertation Grant, Bar Review Grant, Sandwich Program, and Student Research Support Fund.
The Program aims to provide learning and development opportunities to DOST employees, address human resource requirements, and improve DOST agencies' competitiveness through innovative programs with relevant trainings and skill competencies for employees in order to successfully deliver and implement various S&T programs for the benefit of the Filipino people.
In 2018, the DOST-NCR extended its full support to two (2) staff who were qualified to pursue graduate studies under the Local Graduate Degree Scholarships.
Engr. Romelen T. Tresvalles, Supervising Science Research Specialist, and Mr. Mark Anthony Estores, Accountant III, started their journey as students under the Master's in Public Management (MPM) with focus on Technology-Based Enterprise Program at the Ateneo School of Government (ASoG) from August 2018 to January 2020.
The flagship education program of the ASoG is known to be a developing career for visionary leaders, strategic thinkers, technically proficient leaders, among others.
On 19 December 2021, Engr. Romelen T. Tresvalles and Mr. Mark Anthony Estores finally reaped the fruit of their efforts and earned the degree of Master's in Public Management (MPM)-Technology-Based Enterprise.
DOST-NCR Regional Director Jose B. Patalinjug III encourages the organization's human resource to take graduate studies with the aim of increasing competence and efficiency among the staff to help achieve, transform, and build better communities and enterprises in Metro Manila through science, technology, and innovation.
