DOST-NCR Backs Unified Logistics Pass Project, Donates Mobile Devices to LTFRB



DOST-NCR Regional Director Jose B. Patalinjug III turned over of 250 mobile devices and 344 power banks to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on 16 May 2022 in ARTA Office, Quezon City.

This initiative is in support of the implementation of the Unified Logistics Pass (ULP) Project . The ULP is designed to streamline the issuance of Certificate of Public Convenience (CPC) and validation process of vehicles through a unified QR code, which facilitates easier border and port-entry restrictions for both private stakeholders and public authorities.

Areas covered by the pilot implementation are Port of Manila, Manila Harbor Center, Manila North Harbour Container Port Inc., and Manila International Container Terminal in the National Capital Region; Clark Development Corporation, and Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority in Region III; Cavite Export Processing Zone, and Batangas International Port in Region IV-A; and Port of Mantog in Region V.

Prior to this, the DOST-NCR also allocated PhP 2.3 M from its Regional Grants-In-Aid Fund to develop, deploy, and operationalize the ULP system in partnership with the DevConnect Philippines, Inc.

ARTA Director General Secretary Jeremiah Belgica, LTFRB Chairman Atty. Martin Delgra III, and Department of Transportation Former Asec. Alberto Suansing attended the Turnover Ceremony.
